Mt Shuksan Sulphide Glacier

Mt. Shuksan’s rugged metamorphic walls and dramatic hanging glaciers make it one of the most iconic and photographed peaks in North America. The Sulphide Glacier route offers a classic three‑day alpine climb, combining glacier travel with a fun, low‑fifth‑class rock scramble to the summit pyramid. Along the way you’ll move through crevassed terrain, practice efficient rope travel, and finish with airy summit views over North Cascades National Park, Mt. Baker, and the surrounding peaks and icefields. Because fitness plays a major role in alpine success, we encourage climbers to train consistently in the months leading up to their trip.
